Corinna Kreidler

Corinna Kreidler has been working in humanitarian aid for more than 20 years. She is a freelance consultant, working on humanitarian financing, policy and operational issues. Most recently she focuses on adaptive social protection, working with the World Bank and WFP West Africa, and linking humanitarian cash and social protection. Together with Sonja Hövelmann from CHA and Alexandra Spencer from ODI she researched the influence of narratives on Germany’s rise as a humanitarian donor. Earlier assignments included research on cash & voucher assistance on behalf of the Cash Learning Partnership, evaluating the use of cash assistance for Ukrainian refugees, working with the British Foreign Ministry as the humanitarian food security & cash advisor in Zimbabwe and in Mozambique as the Team Leader for a cyclone response. She has also experience advising the German Federal Foreign Office, the Netherlands Foreign Office and conducting research for the ICRC.

She is also a Non-Resident Fellow at the Centre for Humanitarian Action. 

Before becoming an independent consultant in 2014, Corinna worked for the Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) in Oslo, for DG ECHO in Liberia, Sudan/Darfur, DRC and shortly in Turkey and she gained long-term NGO field experience with Welthungerhilfe in Liberia, Angola and Burundi.

She has also been a trainer for German NGO staff for many years on behalf of Aktion Deutschland Hilft (on project planning and design; on monitoring and evaluation). She has been a guest lecturer at the German Institute of Development and Sustainability (previously German Development Institute) and at the Charité Master Course on International Health.

She is fluent in English, French, German and Portuguese and conversant in Swedish and Norwegian.
